This is the story of the Lambert-Gorwyn family, who drew their name from two farms in Cheriton Bishop, a small Devon village in the foothills to the north-east of Dartmoor. Other Information:
His full name is Horace Carleton Lambert-Gorwyn – he dropped the Gorwyn when he joined the Army Pay Corp as a clerk in 1914. Description of him on his discharge from the APC:- “A very good clerk but unable to control his language”. In 1911 he was living with his family in Teddington, Middlesex.
